Today, we took a three-hour bus to Luzhou, about 330 km southwest from Chengdu. Several of our extended family live in that city, so we paid them a visit.<\/p>\n

At this time in our trip, I have gotten about two dozen mosquito bites, most of which are in my lower leg. They itch to the point where certain parts of my leg feel sore.<\/p>\n

Getting dumplings and green onion pancake before we leave Chengdu. Street vendors are everywhere, and you can get some delicious and inexpensive food.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

For the first time on our trip, we checked into a hotel. Previously, we stayed with relatives. The hotel rates in Luzhou, and probably elsewhere, are very affordable, with a three-bedroom suite for 230 Chinese Yuan ($38 USD).<\/p>\n

After dinner, we went out on the riverfront walk. Luzhou is at the junction of the Tuo River and Yangtze River, which we walked to. The city at night is very lively, with some food places open until one in the morning. Along the riverfront walk, one can find hundreds of dancers, all moving simultaneously to traditional music played on a stereo.<\/p>\n
