Well, I’ve been waiting for what seems forever, but my preview of the new Twitter has finally come.

I absolutely love the aesthetics of the new Twitter! Here’s some of my favorite new features:

What this means for Twitter

I believe the new Twitter didn’t just focus on aesthetics, but also had a social initiative to it. Facebook has always been regarded as a better social network because it brought people together more: games, applications, friend suggestions, etc. Now Twitter has caught up a great deal while still maintaining its identity. Going to peoples’ profiles and following them is a whole lot easier now, you can see mentions, replies, and retweets of users in the sidebar, and now, you can even see pictures sent via TwitPic. The quality of Twitter as a social networking site has improved tremendously because of this new design. It was something Twitter should have done a long time ago.
