These few days, we spent most of our time on the campus of Chengdu University of Technology. My family has a long history of affiliation with the University. It is also the place where I spent my first few years.
At the heart of the campus is this small body of water. The school library is on the left side, and there is a waterfront walk that goes around the lake.The main supermarket in the CDUT campus, near the north entrance. Here, students as well as the general public can buy everything from milk to mosquito repellent.A dinosaur sculpture in front of the old museum. CDUT is home to the world’s longest-necked Jurassic-era dinosaur.A long pathway through the campus. This pathway is closed to cars but open to motorcycles and bicycles. The bottoms of the trees are painted white in order to avoid damage from pests.One of five large dining halls around the campus. Here, students can enjoy a wide variety of inexpensive Chinese food. The hall gets so packed around lunch, that it is hard to find an open seat right away.Kitten! There are animals everywhere around campus, including lots of stray dogs that will sometimes wonder in and out of buildings.Bordering the riverfront is one of several “market streets.” Here, students can buy school supplies, snacks, frozen treats, and enjoy a traditional meal.
